HISTORY
Torchbearers Foundation Inc is a not–for profit corporation in Florida and a 501 (C) 3 registered organization in the USA. We were founded in February 2008. The organization was given birth out of a call to duty to fulfill our higher purpose and the acknowledgement of the fact that we are our brothers’ keepers. We are inspired to answer the prayers of parents and children pleading to be noticed. With a dedicated staff of Caribbean individuals, along with public support, our efforts will be directed to the “unknown” and “overlooked ” in the rural areas of Jamaica. We believe that to effect change, we have to start with our children. If we fulfill the dream of one child, the world as a community will reap the benefits.
MISSION STATEMENT
Torchbearers Foundation is a carrier of light. We adopt schools in rural Jamaica and make them centers of empowerment for our children.
Our Vision is that every child and organization impacted by Torchbearers Foundation
efforts will activate their inner light and in turn will become a productive influence in the community at large. We assist each school by creating better facilities and supplying their basic educational needs such as books, desk,
teaching material and uniforms etc. We will have no political or religious affiliation but serve the communities through EMIT (Enlightenment, Motivation, Inspiration and Transformation)
